You probably mean around Mont Blanc, it is a mountain. On the French side the closest town is Chamonix, which is full of hotels and restaurants. Activities include mountain hiking (there’s plenty of trails), parachute, glider, summer skying, mountain climbing, or if you want to stay in the valley golf, swimming, river rafting etc… Then you take your car, cross the Mont Blanc through the tunnel and go on the Italian side for some shopping, food or rafting.
If you do not like the feel of Chamonix, which is becoming more and more a city and less and less a mountain town, you have plenty of villages or smaller towns around and in the next valleys happy to see you,
